DONALD Trump issued a blistering condemnation of Anthony Fauci after a trove of the top doc’s emails were published, said he was right about the “lab leak,” and demanded China pay Covid reparations.

Trump issued a statement on Thursday after leaked emails showed the then head of his coronavirus Task Force was told the virus may have been engineered at the start of the pandemic, but publicly downplayed it.

Trump said Fauci had to answer a lot of ‘questions’

“The correspondence between Dr. Fauci and China speaks too loudly for anyone to ignore,” he raged this afternoon after the doctor finally acknowledged the virus may have been lab-made.

In a series of emails, Trump told the New York Post: “China should pay Ten Trillion Dollars to America, and the World, for the death and destruction they have caused!

“There are a lot of questions that must be answered by Dr Fauci,” he began. “The funding of Wuhan by the US was foolishly started by the Obama Administration in 2014 but ended under the Trump Administration.

“When I heard about it, I said ‘no way.’ What did Dr. Fauci know about ‘gain of function’ research, and when did he know it?” Trump said, referring to an email Fauci received from EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak.

“Now everyone, even the so-called ‘enemy,’ are beginning to say that President Trump was right about the China Virus coming from the Wuhan Lab.”

Trump said Fauci was against face coverings but then became a ‘radical masker’

Daszak thanked Fauci for publicly disputing the likeliness of the Wuhan lab leak theory in April 2020 – a theory Trump had touted during his Covid press conferences.

The EcoHealth Alliance used its grant from the NIH to study coronaviruses in Chinese bats and sent the Wuhan lab nearly $600,000 over the course of five years, beginning in 2014.

Touting his China travel ban, Trump complained that “the Democrats and the Fake News Media even called me a ‘xenophobe’” for closing US borders.

“In the end, we saw this was a life-saving decision, and likewise with closing our borders to Europe, specifically to certain heavily infected countries,” the former president went on.

Referring to the disease expert as “Tony,” Trump went on to say that Fauci later gave him credit for saving thousands of lives – but claimed the top doc didn’t put enough emphasis on a speedy vaccine rollout.

More than 3,000 of Fauci’s emails were released

Trump complained that the media and Dems ‘called me a “xenophobe”‘ over the China travel ban

“I got it done in less than 9 months with Operation Warp Speed,” Trump went on. “In retrospect, the vaccine is saving the world. Then, I placed the greatest bet in history.”

Trump said he ordered Covid jabs worth billions of dollars and in doing so, had essentially “saved the world” and countless lives.

Taking aim at Fauci’s mask guidance, the former president accused top doc of being “totally against masks” when Trump suggested they may be helpful in the virus battle.

Trump claimed that Fauci then changed his tune and became a “radical masker.”

His stinging statement came after more than 3,000 pages of Fauci’s emails were obtained through the Freedom of Information Act and published on Tuesday by Buzzfeed.

One email revealed Fauci, 80, was sent a lengthy message by physicist Erik Nilsen about his “suspicions” over China’s true Covid death toll and warned of a “tsunami” of infections in the US.

But the longtime head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, apparently ignored the early warning message, writing it’s “too long for me to read,” in an email to his colleague Robert Eisinger.

On April 16, 2020, Fauci received an email from Dr Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health, about the lab leak theory being discussed on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show.

Collins sent an email with the subject, “conspiracy gains momentum,” but the contents of the email were blacked out and Fauci responded to that – but whatever he said was also blacked out.

The contents have led to renewed calls for Fauci to be fired from Republicans like Sen Rand Paul and Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene, while Candace Owens wants him behind bars.

After Covid-19 was declared a pandemic last year, Fauci publicly downplayed the possibility that the virus didn’t develop naturally.

The doctor maintained that the most likely origin was a transmission from animal to human in a Chinese “wet market.”

However, at an event last month Fauci said he was “not convinced” anymore that the virus evolved naturally.
