COVID-19: Matt Hancock says virus is ‘back under control’

Health Secretary Matt Hancock says there is ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ with COVID infections falling by 30%.

Speaking at a Downing Street news conference, he acknowledged the second national shutdown was tough – but was working.

And he warned that the country must still stick to the restrictions – and be cautious over Christmas.
